The Circle of Kindness

"Mr Fong" is an experienced specialist Maths tutor (I believe he lives in Singapore) that tries to help students score 'The Goal Called A*', and has provided 'salvation', as he calls it himself, for countless students. His blog Eat You Maths! is set up to help students overcome fear of studying, by providing them with fun ways to try out questions.

Mr Fong is also a very nice guy [some of you may have noticed his kind comments on NoDirectOn (not: NoDirection) and on other blogs he visits] with a very witty sense of humor and he always seems to be in a good mood, even if he is very busy. On his blog he also writes posts about his life as a Maths tutor. He manages to write about Maths in an inspiring manner similar to how other blogs write about reading. In this, he is clearly demonstrating his passion for teaching.

Young Winston Fong is one of those bloggers that understand the power of being nice. On his own blog, in his replies to his commenters, but also in his comments on other blogs. This is why he got endowed with the "Nice Matters" Award. He has chosen to immediately pass that award on to five other bloggers that will, as this unmistakable Maths teacher puts it, thus "expand the Diameter of Kindness".

I am touched with him awarding me with this "Nice Matters" Award. And I will join Winston in his hope that kindness will spread like a circle with an expanding diameter.

Though I am not a Maths teacher, I like that analogy very much and I would like to express my gratitude to the following bloggers that are always very nice, not only to me but to all their visitors and to their fellow bloggers. They are:

UPDATE: I have just learned that there is an OFFICIAL version of the Nice Matters Award "for Gentlemen". So I have gladly replaced the Big White Shoe full of Flowers with this one.
