You Rock My Socks, Mr. Present!

Jon of El Gigante Verdoso presented me with the "You Rock My Socks Award", and Ann of A Nice Place In The Sun invited me over to pick a Christmas Tree Gift from her page. From Ann's selection, I have chosen "Mr. Present", as he seems to be crammed with lots of nice little gift-wrapped items, and can be used all year through, not just for Christmas.

I am passing on these two awards (and I think they make a great combination), to all bloggers in the scroll box below.

The "rules" for passing on the Laurel&Hardy - You Rock My Socks Award are simple: all I am asking is a link back or a comment to this post..

Please see Ann's post for instructions for passing on Mr. Present. Incidentally, Mr. Present comes with two other friends, and they come with easy instructions, not like many other Christmas presents that are often hard to assemble, so if you receive Mr. Present or one of these other gifts, read the following instructions on Ann's post: "If it's your turn to choose one, two, or all three of these gifts to adopt, and decide to pass them on, please pass them to the most magical and imaginative blogs on the internet. Blogs that encourage, year round, the same energetic and imaginative sense of wonder that is apparent throughout the Christmas season." (Mr. Present idea from Ann of A Nice Place in the Sun).

I am awarding Mr. Present, the gift that keeps on giving, and Laurel&Hardy (rocking their socks off), to all those blogs in the scroll box, each and everyone for the same reason:
In the past year I have come across, and have started to enjoy, your blogs. I have met most of you also in blogging communities, or at occasions were awards were passed on, or were some serious LinkLOve was shared. Thank you all for sharing what you did, on your blogs, in comments, in community messages. Your blogs do encourage, year round, the same energetic and imaginative sense of wonder that is apparent throughout the Christmas season.
Make Blogs - Not War! Thank you all! You Rock My Socks!

That's adorable Jos. Thank you for the rock my socks Award and for posting and adopting Mr. Present. Gifts need to keep giving. I hope what was an exciting Christmas Day, will be followed by a peaceful Christmas night. :))

That is so cool! How did you get that blogroll to load like that? Must tell me your secret HTML know how!!

Thank you Jos, for this nice award. It's always good to find a present under the tree these days, especially coming from you!

Peace to you,

Ellen

Arahman7, Thank you for you kind wishes and your wise thoughts. Wishing you a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Ann, I am glad you like it.
Mr Present told me he will keep giving, and Laurel and Hardy will keep dancing their animated steps for all virtual eternity. Wishing you a happy remainder of this holiday season and a peaceful new year.

Beth, you are very welcome to it! Thank you for stopping by.

Jessica, L&H 'Rock', don't they?
I left a comment on Oh, the Joys with these instructions on how to set up pre-defined scroll boxes.

Jos said...

Ellen, I am glad you found it ;)
If you want to display L&H dancing (e.g. on B.'s or N.'s blogs), you must upload it to some place (e.g. your web-log image space) and call it from there, using the "img src" html otherwise they won't move (it's an animated gif - that doesn't work directly on Blogger).
Peace back-at-ya,
Jos

Jos said...

Kitty, that is so nice of you. You are doing great Bloggy Bits. I am glad you like the awards, enjoy!
-Jos:))

Ellen said...

Okay.. How did you guess that?
I just, at this moment, received a request to post the pic on one of their blogs..
Your advice still sounds a bit like abacadabra (isn't English probably ;-)) to me, but I'll give it a try...
thanks!!

Wishing you a warm and loving new year,

Ellen

Jos said...

Lady Rose, you're welcome :)

Jos said...

Thank you, Margot! Same to you :))

Jos said...

Ellen, how can this be abacadabra to you? Anyway, here's how: upload the gif into your web-log image directory (or, if you have one, into your web-log photobook). Then click on it to see the url of that image. In B or S's blog, enter the following html (I am replacing the largerthan and lessthan brackets by '(' and ')' here): (center)(img src="url of the gif" alt="laurel and hardy")(/center)
That should do the trick..

Thanks! May 2008 be a great year for you!

You're welcome, Karen! Wishing you the same, -Jos

Hi kim@laketrees :)
I think you're saying that again, lol!
And - hey! someone below your comment is saying that again, too!
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, you must now count your Technorati links on one arm :))
Take Care, see you at H. Mackerell, Sr.'s dancing party later. (OMG, don't let Andre Rieu be there, or Britney)

Jos said...

Hey Tish, hope you'll keep them dancing! Rocks off!

Hi Fishy Talent Scout Guy,

L&H were a great comedy couple! Wouldn't it be great to see L&H do live comedy about CrumbleUpon, Present Ration, Technorati Tunagate, and The digital Black Hole?

still working on your cool scroll box....

Hi Jos,
I'm still playing catch-up lol.

Thank you so much for the 'You Rock My Socks Award'...I just have to decide whether I am Laurel or Hardy....decisions, decisions hahaha.

Cheers buddy catch you later,
Colin

Jos said...

Hi Colin,
Catchin'-up is about all we can do, these days, isn't it? I just wish one of the services would be reliable enough to help doing that. Technorati, google alert, etc., they all seem to have gone bananas over Christmas...
Anyway, will get there, won't we?
Glad you found these Awards. You Rock! As for the L or H dilemma: just be both -- you'll fit in :)
Take care, talk to you later...

Well thank you my friend! I had no idea...bless you!

I love it and love laurel and hardy! It's soooooo perfect for me!

Jos said...

You're very, very welcome, Ev! Bless you too. Glad you like L&H - just keep'em rockin' :)

Speedcat Hollydale said...

Hi Jos!! Everyone is loving these scroll boxes... I LIKE THEM BECAUSE YOU HAVE ME IN ONE!! Thanks my friend :-)

Lot's of great people commenting here. Hello!

Speedcat

Jos said...

Hi Debbie,

That would be awesome! So we may want to change Stalone for L&H, I think that would be a major improvement. I second a Comical Entrance Option for the golden duo (and a Sad Exit for Sly)

L&H would - I am sure - also have their problems with Technorati Tuna Tags. And it would be priceless to see Stan scratching his head when he looks at his dropping TA :))

Jos said...

Hellooo Speedy!

- "How did you find yourself this morning?"
- "Well I opened a scroll box and there I was.."

I am happy to have you in some of the boxes, Eric! Who else can say that? "I've got Speedy in a box!"

You are most welcome, my friend :)

Debbie Dolphin said...

Hi Jos,

No tears from me over the departing dead fish of Sly!

I hope Your Majesty at laketress reads about Stan scratching his head when he looks at his dropping TA :)))

Speaking of L&H, I wonder if Mrs. H.M. dances with meerkats has decrypted the R-rated version of H.M. yet?

Jos said...

Lol! Debbie,

Thx! Now I have a Lingering Image wandering through my brain, depicting H.M. Laketrees scratching her head with one arm and a sad grin, like Stanley's, -- and then finally decrypting... More fysio may be required...
